Performance characteristics

Materials

The main materials of flexible flap disc include:

1. Abrasives: high-quality alumina, calcined alumina, zirconium corundum, silicon carbide and other abrasives.
2. Substrate: Flexible substrates are usually made of high-strength polyester cloth or nylon cloth through precision machining. Its flexibility allows the flap discs to adapt to workpiece     surfaces of different shapes, ensuring smooth and uniform grinding.
3. Backing plate: The backing plate is usually made of strong glass fiber reinforced material, which provides good support and stability to ensure that the flap discs will not deform or  break when running at high speed.

Type

T27 (flat type): Flat type flexible shutter blades can effectively avoid “grooves” or “nicks”. Suitable for grinding edges or corners. Its flexible structure enables the edge of the flap discs to contact the workpiece surface first, ensuring that there will be no uneven grinding due to the rigidity of the flap discs during processing.
