Material

The core material is calcined aluminum oxide, which uses high-purity bauxite as the starting material, is smelted at high temperature, and then undergoes a precise calcination process. This process significantly increases the alumina content, often to over 98%, and significantly reduces impurity levels. The high purity and special crystal structure give it excellent hardness, toughness and chemical stability, making it an ideal material for high-end polishing needs. Flat type and conical type

  1. Flat type:

◦ It has a regular round thin sheet appearance with a flat edge. This type is highly versatile and suitable for large-area flat grinding, such as deburring and polishing of metal plates, and preliminary grinding of stone floors. It is easy to install and can fit the flat workpiece tightly. It can smoothly and evenly process the surface of the workpiece under high-speed rotation to achieve efficient operation. It is widely used in architectural decoration, mechanical processing and other industries.

Usage

  1. Professional tool adaptation: Choose suitable high-end power tools according to the shape and task accuracy of the flap discs. For ultra-thin precision flat flap discs, use a straight grinder with low vibration and high speed stability, and the speed can be precisely adjusted; special-shaped custom flap discs need to be matched with multi-functional, replaceable head grinding tools to ensure that they go deep into complex parts; multi-hole high-dust flap discs work together with high-power angle grinders with dust suction interfaces to achieve synchronous grinding and dust suction.
  2. Fine installation and calibration: Before installation, ensure that the tools and work area are clean and dust-free. After shutting down and powering off, gently insert the louver blade into the spindle, tighten the nut with a high-precision wrench according to the specified torque, and calibrate the concentricity with the help of professional measuring tools after installation. The error is controlled within a very small range to prevent uneven grinding and tool damage caused by eccentricity.
  3. Accurate parameter control: According to the material, hardness and grinding stage of the workpiece, accurately set the speed, feed rate and other parameters in the tool control system. For example, when grinding carbide aviation parts, the initial rough grinding is done at a low speed and high feed, and the later fine grinding is done at a high speed and low feed. Standardized grinding operation: The operator wears anti-static work clothes, dust-free gloves and protective glasses, holds the tool steadily with both hands, makes the flap discs touch the workpiece at a specific angle (10° – 25° depending on the shape of the workpiece), moves slowly and evenly along the preset path, pays attention to the tool status throughout the process, and stops the machine immediately for inspection if any abnormality occurs.

Precautions

  1. Extreme safety protection: In view of the fact that most of the use scenarios are high-precision operation areas, in addition to conventional goggles, gloves, and work clothes, anti-static shoes and earplugs must be worn to prevent static electricity from causing chip damage and reduce noise hazards; the operation area is isolated and fenced, and unrelated personnel are strictly prohibited from entering to avoid dust pollution of precision equipment.
  2. High-frequency equipment maintenance: Before and after each operation, deep clean the tools and louvers, check the electrical circuits, bearings, dust collection devices and other key components, and regularly calibrate the tool accuracy; the louvers are replaced in time according to the wear monitoring data, and replaced when the wear exceeds 10% to ensure the grinding accuracy and efficiency.
  3. Strict operating specifications: It is strictly forbidden to use in an environment without professional dust collection and electrostatic protection; the grinding direction is strictly controlled to prevent debris from splashing into the interior of the precision equipment; when the tool vibrates abnormally, overheats, or has an odor, it will be shut down according to the emergency plan and can only be restarted after inspection by professionals.

Storage method

  1. Dry and ventilated environment: flap discs should be stored in a dry and well-ventilated indoor space, and the humidity should be controlled at 40% – 60%. A humid environment will cause the flap disc sand to become damp and clump, reducing the grinding performance.
  2. Classify and store in order: flap discs should be classified and put on shelves according to different specifications and forms, and different batches should be clearly marked to avoid mixing and confusion. When stacking in multiple layers, soft partitions should be used to prevent extrusion and deformation.
