Flat type and conical type

1. Flat type:

◦ It has a regular round thin sheet appearance with a flat edge. This type is highly versatile and suitable for large-area flat grinding, such as deburring and polishing of metal plates, and preliminary grinding of stone floors. It is easy to install and can fit the flat workpiece tightly. It can smoothly and evenly process the surface of the workpiece under high-speed rotation to achieve efficient operation. It is widely used in architectural decoration, mechanical processing and other industries.

◦ During operation, due to the relatively large contact area between the flat edge and the workpiece, the grinding pressure is easy to disperse. For workpieces with low hardness or high surface flatness requirements, it can effectively avoid excessive grinding marks and ensure the uniformity of grinding quality.

2. Conical type:

◦ The edge is reversely curved, similar to the inverted edge of a bowl. This design gives it a unique advantage in grinding narrow and complex parts such as inner corners and grooves. When processing the corners of the mold cavity and the deep grooves of mechanical parts, the reverse edge can penetrate deep into them and accurately reach every corner to be polished, ensuring the overall polishing effect of the workpiece is consistent and avoiding local roughness affecting subsequent use.

◦During the polishing process, due to the special shape of the edge, the contact angle between the sand and the workpiece is relatively flexible and can be adjusted according to actual needs. It can also play an excellent role in the fine polishing of some irregular surfaces, such as the carved parts of handicrafts and the special-shaped surfaces of automotive parts.

Performance

1. Super strong grinding force: After calcination, the crystal structure of aluminum oxide is more compact and the hardness is further improved. After the flap discs are made, under high-speed rotation, the sand grains are like miniature sharp blades, which can easily cut into the surface of difficult-to-process materials such as high-hardness alloys and hardened steel. The removal efficiency of rust, oxide layer and hardened coating is far higher than that of ordinary grinding tools, which greatly shortens the processing cycle.
2. Excellent self-sharpening: Calcination makes the toughness and wear resistance of aluminum oxide particles reach a new balance. During the long-term grinding process, the blunt sand grains fall off more regularly, and new sand grains continue to take over efficiently, ensuring that the flap disc maintain strong and stable grinding performance from beginning to end, without frequent shutdown and replacement, providing solid guarantee for continuous and high-intensity grinding operations.
3. Fine grinding adaptability: It has a certain flexibility. When facing complex-shaped workpieces, such as the curved surface of aircraft engine blades and the fine grooves of precision molds, it can fit tightly and apply force evenly to achieve high-precision, low-damage fine grinding, effectively ensuring the surface finish and dimensional accuracy of the workpiece.
