The core material is zirconium corundum, which is made of high-quality bauxite as the base material, with an appropriate amount of zircon sand added, and is made through high-temperature smelting and crystallization. The integration of zircon sand optimizes the crystal structure of corundum, improving the hardness while giving the material better toughness and chemical stability. Flat type (T27):
◦ It has a regular round thin sheet appearance with a flat edge. This type is highly versatile and suitable for large-area flat grinding, such as deburring and polishing of metal plates, and preliminary grinding of stone floors. It is easy to install and can fit the flat workpiece tightly. It can smoothly and evenly process the surface of the workpiece under high-speed rotation to achieve efficient operation. It is widely used in architectural decoration, mechanical processing and other industries.
◦ During operation, due to the relatively large contact area between the flat edge and the workpiece, the grinding pressure is easy to disperse. For workpieces with low hardness or high surface flatness requirements, it can effectively avoid excessive grinding marks and ensure the uniformity of grinding quality.
Conical type (T29):
◦ The edge is reversely curved, similar to the inverted edge of a bowl. This design gives it a unique advantage in grinding narrow and complex parts such as inner corners and grooves. When processing the corners of the mold cavity and the deep grooves of mechanical parts, the reverse edge can penetrate deep into them and accurately reach every corner to be polished, ensuring the overall polishing effect of the workpiece is consistent and avoiding local roughness affecting subsequent use.
◦ During the polishing process, due to the special shape of the edge, the contact angle between the sand and the workpiece is relatively flexible and can be adjusted according to actual needs. It can also play an excellent role in the fine polishing of some irregular surfaces, such as the carved parts of handicrafts and the special-shaped surfaces of automotive parts.
